Brando is an actor, voice actor and producer. Growing up between upstate New York and the City, Brando got his start on stage at a young age and started to work on productions in the US and the UK. Voice acting and some writing soon led to producing and a strong new appreciation for post-production and the entire creative process of filmmaking. This has made the journey of discovering new material, writers, directors and their work particularly exciting. After attending several festivals in the US and abroad, such as Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and La Biennale, the time has come go further in search of new film. The next, best storytellers are out there and they might just be in your neighborhood!

As a film fanatic and organizer, Cal views the arts as a critical institution to drive local culture. He moved to Coeur D’Alene in 2021 by way of San Francisco and is originally from the Philly area. During his time out west, Cal attended multiple Sundance Film festivals in Park City, UT and can see similar potential in North Idaho. Cal's background is mainly on the business side, including finance, fundraising, operations and generally anything that takes heavy left-brain activity. He can’t wait to see what can happen with this very talented community here in North Idaho!
Pay heed, valiant storytellers and auteurs! Behold the birth of a cinematic spectacle like no other - the North Idaho Film Festival, a call to arms for the brave souls who dare to wield the camera as their sword and the script as their shield. This is not your run-of-the-mill celluloid jamboree; this is a ferocious battle cry to rally the untamed talents of the American filmmaking frontier.
The North Idaho Film Festival emerges from the shadows, calling forth rebels, renegades, and visionary madmen to submit their masterworks for scrutiny. No room for the faint-hearted, for we seek the bold, the unbridled, and the audacious. From the sprawling epics to the guerrilla-style shorts, we yearn for narratives that challenge the conventional yet harken to days of old.
Deadlines? Deadlines are for those who fear the raw, untamed energy of creativity. But for those daring enough, mark your calendars for the early bird deadline of April 19, 2024 to submit your masterpiece. Categories, you ask? We've got 'em all - Narrative Features, Documentaries, Short, and Idaho centered, and perhaps a category we'll make up on the spot just to see if you are paying attention.
Submission guidelines? Rules are for bureaucrats. Submit your celluloid manifestos through FilmFreeway (filmfreeway.com/NorthIdahoFilmFestival) and may the cinematic odds forever be in your favor.
The chosen films won't just grace a screen; they'll inspire and provoke. This ain't just a festival; it's a declaration of artistic passage of arms. The North Idaho Film Festival is for the outliers, the iconoclasts, and the mavericks. Join the revolt, or forever be lost in the mundane mediocrity of mainstream cinema.
For those daring to face the storm, submit your opus, and may fortune favor the bold.
NoID Film Festival is a raging tempest of filmic rebellion, a gathering of cinematic warriors on a quest to shatter the shackles of convention. This ain't your grandma's film fest; this is a transformation of cinema.
The festival will be held over three glorious days just as we enter Autumn, September 26-28, 2024. While location details will be announced at a later date, we are pleased to announce we have identified The Innovation Den in downtown Coeur d’Alene as our stronghold and headquarters.
To ensure you are up to date, you must commit yourself to allowing communications to be delivered electronically to your email.
